About us

We are a student research group at Wrocław University of Science and Technology that unites passion for quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and advanced computing systems. We create a space where theory meets practice.

Since 2025, we have been building a community where students expand their knowledge and carry out innovative projects in the field of future technologies.

We have unique research facilities, including access to Odra 5, the first quantum computer in Poland and Eastern Europe, which allows us to test algorithms in practice.

We organize research, projects, and workshops, we are a place for sharing experiences and discovering the potential of new technologies together.

Touch the future and start your journey with the IQM Spark quantum computer

Komputer kwantowy Odra-5 – kriostat IQM Spark
  • Quantum speed-up: Some quantum algorithms can accelerate computations millions of times
  • Cryogenic cooling: Qubits operate at 10 mK, that’s 100× colder than outer space.
  • Superconducting qubits: Current flows in them without any energy loss.
  • Quantum entanglement: Qubits can interact instantly, even when they are far apart.
  • Exponential scaling: Each additional qubit doubles the state space.
  • Qiskit & Python: The quantum world is now accessible directly through regular programming code.

Frequently Asked Questions

A quick overview of the Qubit Student Club, if you don’t find what you’re looking for, drop us a message.

How can I join the club?

It’s really simple! Recruitment for the Qubit Student Club takes place at the beginning of each semester. Got questions or want to see how we work? Send us an email, and we’ll get back to you with details and an invitation to our next meeting.

Do I need experience in quantum computing?

No, what matters most is openness and willingness to learn. Quantum computing is still an emerging field, so anyone can start from scratch. However, having some basics in Python programming is very helpful.

How many qubits does IQM Spark have?

IQM Spark is a 5 qubit quantum computer that, thanks to high-quality operations and stable qubits, makes it easy to step into the world of quantum computing.

Can I propose my own project?

Of course! Every member of our club can submit a proposal for a new project. Provide a solid justification, prepare the project documentation, assemble a team and we’re ready to start!
